East Delhi Police Host Sampark Sabha to Boost Internal Communication and Gear Up Security Ahead of Kanwar Yatra and Independence Day

In a significant move to strengthen internal communication, address police welfare, and review operational readiness, the East District Police organized a comprehensive 'Sampark Sabha' at Sarvodaya Co-Ed Senior Secondary School, I.P. Extension, Patparganj. The session was chaired by Dr. Ajit Kumar Singla, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police, Eastern Range, in the presence of Sh. Rajeev Kumar, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East District, and Ms. Shristi Pandey, IPS, Additional DCP-I, East District. The event served as a major initiative toward transparent leadership, continuous organizational improvement, and enhancing public safety across the capital.

The Sampark Sabha witnessed active participation from 246 police personnel representing various tiers of the East District force. Among those in attendance were Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), Station House Officers (SHOs), Anti-Terrorism Officers (ATOs), Bravos, Head Assistants, and in-charges of various branches, cells, and offices. The initiative established a direct, open, and interactive platform that enabled police personnel to engage seamlessly with senior leadership and share their grievances, constructive suggestions, professional experiences, and operational requirements.

During the interactive session, staff members brought forward several matters concerning welfare, infrastructure support, and field policing challenges. Senior officers attentively listened to the issues raised and issued immediate directions to the concerned officials to ensure timely and effective redressal. Demonstrating a commitment to recognizing service excellence, four police personnel were honored with Commendation Certificates and Cash Rewards for their outstanding dedication and exemplary contribution to public safety and policing.

A major focus of the gathering was the operational preparedness for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and Independence Day celebrations. Senior officers sensitized the personnel regarding security arrangements and briefed them thoroughly on their specific duties. Strict instructions were issued to maintain heightened vigilance, strengthen beat policing, increase visible presence on the streets, and ensure a swift response to any law and order scenario. Seamless coordination with key community stakeholders was also highlighted as essential during the festive and national period.

Addressing the force, Joint CP Dr. Ajit Kumar Singla commended the dedication of the East District team. Reassuring the personnel, he affirmed that all genuine welfare concerns would be resolved on priority and urged them to remain disciplined, alert, and responsive in their service. DCP Rajeev Kumar further reinforced the necessity of total alertness and high standards of integrity, directing everyone to execute security protocols effectively while maintaining polite, professional interactions with the public. The successful event highlights East District Police's dedication to maintaining a motivated, disciplined, and citizen-friendly police force.
