According to official box office figures, Jana Nayagan has achieved a massive worldwide gross collection of ₹255.63 crore. The film has held a strong position at the Indian box office, earning ₹174.63 crore in gross collection and ₹149.50 crore in net collection domestically. The overseas markets have also responded enthusiastically, contributing ₹81.00 crore gross to the total tally. These impressive numbers were recorded across approximately 80,871 shows worldwide.
First Week Day-Wise Net Collection Breakdown
The film got off to a roaring start at the box office. On its first day (Thursday), Jana Nayagan registered a massive net collection of ₹42.70 crore in India (grossing ₹50.28 crore) with an overall theater occupancy of 41.6%. On day two (Friday), being a regular working weekday, the collection saw a expected drop, standing at ₹21.15 crore net.However, the film bounced back significantly over the weekend. On day three (Saturday), it collected ₹28.90 crore net, followed by day four (Sunday) where it recorded its highest daily occupancy of the week at 44.7% to net ₹32.00 crore.
Following the weekend, the film experienced a natural weekday decline starting Monday. On day five (Monday), the movie collected ₹10.65 crore net, while day six (Tuesday) stood at ₹8.00 crore net. On day seven (Wednesday), the film added ₹6.10 crore net to its tally. With these figures, the movie concluded its extended first week in India with a total net collection of ₹149.50 crore.
State-Wise Box Office Performance: Tamil Nadu Leads the Way

In Tamil Nadu alone, the film earned a staggering ₹102.00 crore gross over seven days. Karnataka followed as the second-best performing region, generating ₹27.08 crore gross.In the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (APTG) region, the film collected ₹12.10 crore gross, while Kerala contributed ₹14.90 crore gross.
